Official price list - Rubys, Grading system, Top offer
Ruby price list Report, Exclusive offer for investors, Grading system
Gemstone investing is not for everyone. But for those who love fine gemstones and beautiful jewelry, rare gems have a good history of increasing in value over time. When the stock market is declining and currency is losing value, gemstones tend to be a reliable store of value that is also compact, portable and private.

Though gemstones are not as liquid as gold, a high quality Burmese ruby or Ceylon sapphire will always retain its value. New discoveries, like the valuable neon spinel discovered in Mahenge, Tanzania in 2007, provide new opportunities for collectors. But in general, the world demand for fine gemstones far exceeds the supply, and gemstone prices mainly move upward over time.
Sapphires - official report price list + offer
Official price list report, rare offer, history, grading system
The ancient Persians believed the earth rests on a giant sapphire. Its reflection, they said, made the sky blue. Sapphire comes from the Greek word for blue, sappheiros, and this gem provides the most beautiful blues of the gem kingdom. Sapphire is the gem of truth. The tradition is so strong, we still think of an honest person as "true blue."
In fact, the two most popular colored gemstones, sapphire and ruby, are twins separated at birth: different colored crystals of the mineral corundum, which comes in every color of the rainbow. When the family connection was discovered, gemologists decided that all the family members would be called sapphire except red, which would still be called ruby.

Antique Meissen® identifying marks - Book
Meissen porcelain was first manufacturory of porcelain in for the last 300 years. Unfortunately, for the past 290 years people have purposely created knockoff Meissen porcelain. There are any number of terms to describe porcelain made to look like Meissen that is not authentic. Forgeries, counterfeits, copies, fakes, reproductions, replicas, and imitations all get used interchangeably.
Fakes are sold at auctions for thousands of pounds and fakes are sold at flea markets for pennies, and vice versa. Some other antiques have neat little tricks you can use to easily tell if something is authentic or a reproduction. Sadly, there isn’t one make or break detail to check for. However, there are a series of signs that could potentially help you correctly identify a fake.
The following Meissen book may help you identify authenticity.
